Georadar survey. Using georadar we are able to track anomalies under the surface places with different conductivity or permittivity to their surroundings. This way we can find underground corridors, caves, utilities, graves, wells, etc. More info.
GEOLOGICAL AND GEOPHYSICAL SURVEY RESULTS AND REMEDIATION OPTIONS FOR SINKHOLES ON US 18 IN CERRO GORDO COUNTY, IOWA Matthew Trainum: Soils Design Section, ... A shale unit overlies the limestone to the west and east of the area of concern. To the west, this shale reaches a thickness of 7 to 9 meters and is relatively constant toward the
East Kirkton Quarry, near Bathgate, West Lothian. The East Kirkton Limestone in the upper part of the West Lothian Oil Shale Formation is a laminated freshwater limestone. A unique and varied terrestrial assemblage of fossils has been collected from this site, including Westlothiana lizziae, a vertebrate fossil intermediate between amphibians and reptiles.

· Geophysical surveys included seismic refraction (acquired between phases of quarry blasting), electrical resistivity and ground penetrating radar (GPR) 1D and 2D datasets. Geophysical results produced maps of a 3D ground model that also included water table depth, known major faults and a saturated layer that may have caused the building damage.
Geophysical borehole logging revealed that the upper unit consists of limestone gravels (70%) and boulders (30%). The caliper log also shows that the borehole wall is uneven, confirming the gravel/boulder lithology. The second layer consists of gravels cemented with about 30% clays indied by peaks on the gamma ray log.

Smythe ABSTRACT: Magnetic and resistivity geophysical surveys conducted across the only known exposure of the East Kirkton Limestone have produced new information upon its extent.
Resistivity depth using several types of electrode configuration were made over water wells in an alluvial interior valley of Jamaica, the Queen of Spain's Valley. Results suggest that the yield is a linear function of the resistivity of the waterbearing strata. It is concluded that resistivity surveys can be of material assistance in a water ...
Geophysical Imaging Techniques as a Screening Tool. Geophysical studies provide an inverse solution to the resolution of environmental problems, and are analogous to a murder mystery investigation. In a murder investigation, we know a murder occurred, but don't know the cause (, the murderer or weapon).. Read More.
Northamptonshire Archaeology conducted a geophysical survey, on behalf of The Guildhouse Consultancy, on land with an area of approximately 7ha at Bouchiers Hall Farm, Es. The survey revealed discrete positive rectilinear anomalies which could not be clearly characterised and could be archaeological, geological, agricultural or a combination of the three possibilities.
· The current study of East Esna area was selected due to its prosperous conditions. In this area, the reclamation of agricultural land is increasing and the population is growing, which necessitate an equivalent development of groundwater. The main aim of the study was to estimate geometrical and qualitative characteristics of the study aquifer. This will help to have a systematic view of the ...

Magnetic and resistivity geophysical surveys conducted across the only known exposure of the East Kirkton Limestone have produced new information upon its extent. This is important to determine because of its unique faunal assemblage and possible hot spring deposition, suggesting a potential for precious metal mineralisation. Magnetic anomalies are attributed to basalts within the Bathgate ...
